• Shop Handmade Alabama!

Jillian the owner and creator is local to Gardendale and shares that first she loves Jesus, her husband Seth, and her three kiddos. “I got my business degree in 2011 in Texas, where I was born and raised, and finally moved to Alabama the week my husband and I got married in 2014. I had a dream in January 2021 to start a business with my oldest daughter - something we could do together, and something I could use to teach her hard work, integrity, excellence, and entrepreneurship as a woman. In June 2021 we started a T-shirt business as a hobby, and @handmadealabama was born. God has blessed us greater than we could imagine, and has given us vision to use this business to make a Kingdom Impact. We find inspiration literally anywhere and everywhere we go. The amazing thing about owning a T-shirt printing company is we can have an idea one morning, and have a finished tee to share with others the same day! We try to get inspired in the Word, at church, by friends, and by other makers. We are so grateful to have a creative outlet that we can learn, fail, and grow with. It is our joy and honor to serve our customers and other small businesses, printing tees and sweatshirts.”

  • The Grey Shed

I've always been inspired by the “makers” of all sorts that I’ve discovered in my family tree (genealogy is a hobby of mine). I make functional home décor, mostly from wood, combining it with leather, clay, and other “earthy” types of materials to give things dimension. I use design to provide easy avenues for personalization for my customers. I’m fortunate to have talented family members working alongside me. Together, we make things that are useful and help tell a personal story while they’re in the room looking pretty.
